Do your kits contain unsafe materials?

I always keep safety in mind when making kits.  As much as possible, I use items that are kid-friendly and free from harsh chemicals.  I always recommend adult supervision when putting kits together and encourage you to think about which items are appropriate for your child.

Are your kits appropriate for all kids?

Absolutely!  As long as there is adult supervision for babies and young kids, everyone can enjoy these crafts.

What is the age range for your kits?

With adult supervision, these crafts can be enjoyed by anyone!  Babies as young as three months to adults in their 90's can have fun with these kits.  Our Sprouts line is designed with kids in mind, while our Roots line is made specifically for teens and adults.

Are your kits good for kids with sensory processing differences or special needs?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Sensory play is especially beneficial for children with sensory processing differences, ADHD, autism, and other developmental needs — but every child benefits from it. Each kit is researched and tested with real kids in mind. As always, I recommend adult supervision and using your knowledge of your child to decide which items are the best fit for them.

Do your kits contain food items?

Accepted Answer

No — none of our kits contain edible food items.  A few products use food-based ingredients as materials rather than something to eat: our stress balls and Kinetic Sand Kit use food grade flour as a filling, and our Bouncing Bubbles kit's solution contains a small amount of sugar as a stablizer.
